Following the groundbreaking success of their acclaimed release “Hey Whiskey”, Country music’s hottest duo Smithfield is back with a brand new single entitled “When You’re Gone.” Written by Jennifer Fielder, Trey Smith, Brennin Hunt and Adam James, the trumpet infused tune features Smith on lead vocal and will have you wishing for a few glasses of wine with your significant other. The duo will be celebrating the release with a live performance on Chicago’s WGN Music Lounge today at 9am CT. Having made their 14th appearance on the Grand Ole Opry stage this month, they will also be performing on the Opry Circle Throwdown pop-up stage at 5:45pm CT following their performance at Country Lakeshake Festival in Chicago today.

Smithfield recently wrapped up the 26-city inaugural SiriusXM Highway Finds Tour alongside Steve Moakler and Drew Baldridge. The twosome is currently playing shows across the country while diligently writing and recording for their sophomore EP.

Consisting of Trey Smith and Jennifer Fielder, Smithfield shattered industry norms with sophomore single “Hey Whiskey.” The powerful ballad received rave reviews from
