UK band Outlander release new single 'This Girl's Fire'

UK country-pop band Outlander have released their brand new single 'This Girl's Fire'

The single is out now via Amazon UK (MP3), iTunes & Spotify
The band play Rock Ridge Round-Up (near Newcastle) on 31st July 2016.

'This Girl's Fire' marks an evolution in Outlander's sound. It was written just before the band performed at this year's Country to Country (C2C) Festival, but was taken to the next level after a chance encounter:

"We were extremely lucky to see a bit of Old Dominion soundchecking on the BBC Radio 2 stage; it sounded incredible, and really resonated with us! With this track, we wanted to take our time, and try to capture the modern sound of Nashville that's coming through artists such as Sam Hunt, and Old Dominion".
The band recorded the single entirely in-house, rather than going to a studio, so that they could give themselves more than enough time to hone the song. The track was recorded and mixed by the band's lead singer Ali Garner, who graduated from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Music Production.

'This Girl's Fire'
Lyrics

Hey, I wanna talk to you
Cos you're looking pretty good from my point of view
That dress, that smile, is gonna make this night just a little more worthwhile
Gotta see what I'm seeing to believe it
One look and she's got me lit
She's lighting up the stars tonight

You put a spark inside my soul
We've got all night so let it burn

Chorus
She's on fire
You're lighting me up, and we're burning it down
To the wire
Let's hope this rain don't reach the ground
If we're doing it right, hearts will ignite
Girl just take me higher
Cos this girl, this girl's fire

Yeah, you're like a movie that I rewind
Only getting better, and I wanna see you one more time
We'll watch it all night, we can watch it all night
Then we stay up, get drunk on a good time
Live it up, live it up on cloud 9
And we're only getting started tonight

You put a spark inside my soul
We've got all night so let it burn

She's on fire
You're lighting me up, and we're burning it down
To the wire
Let's hope this rain don't reach the ground
If we're doing it right, hearts will ignite
Girl just take me higher
Cos this girl, this girl's fire

Now we're bringing it down,
Hey girl what's up?
Strike like a match, now you're lighting me up
We can burn all night, we can do it up right, yeah, we can do it up right
You're my perfect 10, even when you dress down, say your hair's in a mess
Sparking like a lighter, it's an up all nighter tonight girl

Chorus repeat
