Cactus Moser is up and at 'em again, following the August motorcycle accident that took one of his legs – and nearly his life.
"After eight months of waiting, he walked towards me for the first time two days ago," Moser's wife, Wynonna Judd, 48, told PEOPLE backstage at Dancing with the Stars on Monday, adding that fellow contestant Lisa Vanderpump was one of the first people to walk with him. "It's been an emotional ride for me this week."
Of Moser's prosthetic leg, the country star said, "It freaked me out because I've seen him in a wheelchair and using a walker, and he just walked towards me and I was like, 'Wow.' I was so stunned. I saw the wreck, I saw him lose the leg."
Wynonna has nothing but praise for the fellow musician. "He's so positive," she said. "I call him Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky. It's really irritating, because sometimes I just want to complain or act tired about dancing, and he'll say, 'But you're moving and you're looking so great.' I'm like, 'Go talk to Tony. You guys are so alike.' "

Sammy Kershaw’s Lafayette, Louisiana home sustained heavy smoke damage after a fire broke out in the country star’s kitchen. Kershaw inadvertently started the fire when he grabbed cans of homemade spices he was delivering to a friend.  The box containing the spices slid over the kitchen stove, catching the knobs that ignite the burners.  Kershaw says there were likely flammable items on the stovetop that caught fire. No one was injured in the blaze.

In true “Pioneer” fashion, The Band Perry pushes the envelope once more and has become the first recording artists to have a Gigi’s cupcake named after them. The new cupcake called, VERY PERRY CHOCOLATE CHERRY, was inspired by The Band Perry’s new music, a song in particular called “I’m A Keeper,” from the band’s iTunes Country chart topping CD, PIONEER

Kimberly Perry explains, “When we heard that we might have a Gigi’s cupcake named after us we knew right away what the flavor would be. There is a song on our new album that has a line in it that says, ‘I’m gonna change my name to Cherry….,’ so we decided that the cupcake had to be some kind of a cherry cupcake.”

Forty Five percent of Americans now listen to online radio occasionally, at least once a month, according to the newly updated Infinite Dial Study by Arbitron and Edison Research. That translates to 120 million Americans, and it’s a number that grew 6% over last year. The weekly number – Americans that listened to online radio weekly – grew 4% to 33% and roughly 86 million. But here’s the big news of the study: Consumers reported spending more than two hours more listening online than they did a year ago! Weekly listeners spend an average of 12 hours a week listening to online radio, versus close to ten hours last year.

Kellie Pickler revealed that her new album will be ‘KELLIE COUNTRY’ . Pickler, who is bouncing from the Dancing With The Stars dance studio to the recording studio, said the album will be out when she is done with the show, but she is working on both concurrently.
She confirmed that ’100 Proof’ producers Frank Liddell and Luke Wooten are producing the new effort, her first for Black River Entertainment, and most of the same musicians from her previous album will appear. Most important, however, is the sound she is going for on this next effort. The new album “is definitely going to be my country…[there were] too many suits and ties, trying to make the calls,” the singer tells Taste of Country. “This record will definitely be Kellie country, for sure.”-

Music Review (Jon Pareles)
New York TimesConcert review Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell: Separate Country Roads Meet on the Upper West Side
Between songs at the Beacon Theater on Wednesday night Emmylou Harris brought up fondly remembered things: cassette tapes, percolator coffee, hotel windows that opened. There was a bigger one too. “Remember country music?” she asked.
That’s a question country music has asked itself for well over half a century, as each generation’s songs invoke traditions while pushing them aside. But the country that Ms. Harris remembers — and has upheld since the 1970s — is a particular mix. It’s part classic (mountain music, honky-tonk) and part reinvention, with literary, musical and psychological forays that follow through on the songwriting of Gram Parsons, with whom she recorded and toured until his death in 1973. It wasn’t the direction mainstream country would eventually take, but it survives in the twangy, tenacious music now called Americana

Billboard Cover Story Luke Bryan  Extract: From sold-out ‘Spring Break’ tours to rocking the ACM Awards, Luke Bryan is country’s next poster boy...It’s unseasonably chilly for the first day of spring, a fact Luke Bryan notes as he chit-chats with the photographer while ensconced in a Nashville studio for his Billboard cover shoot. He picks up a pair of dice and tumbles them, puts his baseball cap on, turns it backward and then picks up a guitar and begins singing Tracy Lawrence’s 1993 hit “Alibis.” It’s obvious sitting still for a photo shoot is hard for the Georgia native—and not smiling in every shot is even harder.

It's Goodbye Wy on Prom night at "Dancing With the Stars" – In the third week of competition, the lowest number of judges’ scores and viewer votes befell country star Wynonna Judd and her rock star of a pro partner, Tony Dovolani, and both were ejected from the competition.
Wynonna Judd partnered with Tony Dovolani scored 5, 5, 5 (15) dancing the Samba to DEF LEPPARD'S classic hit "Pour Some Sugar On Me" >> YouTube
Speaking after the announcement of her departure, Judd said the show helped her face one of her biggest fears and develop a lifetime friendship with Dovolani. “I’m a singer, not a dancer,” Judd said. “I can’t wait to get back to making my record. I love my country music fans.” Judge Len Goodman told Judd she had “no rhythm and no hip action.” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba told Judd she liked the theme of Judd’s dance, but that the rest of the performance was “like a whisper.” “I’m sorry, I didn’t see it go up a notch this week,” Inaba said

COUNTRY GOSSIP

If Kimberly Perry of the Band Perry‘s boyfriend is planning to propose, the singer is sure to be surprised. Perry told Taste of Country that marriage and starting a family are not on her to do list for 2013, adding with a laugh, “And that goes for all three of us. We can’t have babies.”The group is hyper-focused on their new album, ‘Pioneer,’ the release of which leads right into the ACM Awards, which leads to another tour with Rascal Flatts and then planning sessions for a headlining tour in 2014. As for the identity of the mystery man the blonde singer is dating, she would neither confirm or deny rumors that it’s JP Arencibia of the Toronto Blue Jays (Neil and Reid were similarly tight-lipped).

Hayden Panettiere can't wait to have children. The 'Nashville' actress - who is rumoured to be secretly engaged to World Heavyweight Champion boxer Wladimir Klitschko following their reconciliation in January - has revealed she wouldn't be shocked if she has kids with the Ukrainian athlete in the near future and thinks it will be the "most beautiful, exciting thing" because she "was born to be a mother."

LeAnn Rimes was horrified to find a snake in her backyard. The 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' actress discovered the reptile at her Los Angeles home and although it was harmless, she was left shaken by the incident while her husband Eddie Cibrian and stepsons Mason, nine, and five-year-old Jake, thought it was cool. She tweeted: "Omg I just found a snake in our backyard. It was a harmless snacks, but I can't stand them. Of course, all the boys in the house found it cool (sic)."
While she may not approve of Jake and Mason's love of snakes, LeAnn previously revealed she loves having them in her life.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be married 17 years in October, making them a rare example of a celebrity couple that has managed to maintain a successful marriage and raise three daughters while navigating their high profile careers. Tim says it helped that both of their careers were already established when they got married, but the biggest secret to the success of their family is that they decided early on family would always come first.
We made a conscious decision when we got married that no matter what, if we were going to start a family that that was going to be our first priority and everything else was sorta just gonna find it’s place,” explains Tim. “For better or worse, for our careers better or worse or whatever, that’s always been our core understanding and our core principal, is putting our family first.” Not only has that principle helped them maintain a healthy marriage, but Tim also says, “I think that’s paid off in our kids and their lives and how we’ve given them as much of a normal life as we can in a situation that they’re in.”

Bed Blake & Beyond: Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have plans to open a bed-and-breakfast across from her retail store, The Pink Pistol, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, according to InTouch. And why wouldn't they? They've been operating a very successful doggie bed-and-breakfast in their backyard forever. "I never know what to expect when Miranda leaves and goes to town," Blake admits. "I'm really not kidding when I say at least 20, 25, maybe 30 times, she's come home from the grocery store and there will either be a cat or a dog in her car. And they're not always puppies, you know. There might be a damn, big-ass pitbull in there." Blake tries to express his concern about the dangers of non-puppy pickups, but says Miranda always stops him with, "Well, it licked me. So it was nice." The couple keeps the animals until they can find them a good home. No word on when the B&B for humans will open, but the nightly rate is estimated to be around 200 licks

Carrie Underwood: I'd quit my job if my husband told me to "If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit," Carrie Underwood the Play On “Quitter” singer told People for the cover story which hit newsstands April 5. "When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."

For Underwood and ice hockey hubby Mike Fisher, who will celebrate their third anniversary in July, making it work means frequent texts, hosting wine-and-grill nights at home with friends and meeting up for casual dates – at Subway.
