With over 765,000 tickets sold, Church’s The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour ranked at No. 11 on the chart published at Pollstar.com.

She says the adults around her took advantage of her being without parental supervision. She was 10 years old and living in London at the time, studying dance at the prestigious academy while her parents remained in Utah. “I was 10 years old looking like I was 28, being a very sensual dancer,” Hough recalls. “I was a tormented little kid who had to put on this sexy façade because that was my job and my life. But my heart was the same, and I was this innocent little girl. I wanted so much love.” The 24-year-old performer adds that the abuse worsened when she hit puberty.

On New Year's Eve, EYB bassist Jon Jones and his wife Sarah gave birth to a baby boy, weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. and 21 inches long, Hudson Lennon Jones, near Fort Worth, Texas. The couple expected the little one to be born closer to Christmas but reportedly were able to have a natural birth in spite of the late arrival. Both mother and son are doing well.

Jon Jones + baby Hudson!

We are ecstatic about this beautiful baby boy that came into our world,” the couple told People. “Words cannot describe our excitement and joy.” “Sarah and I feel very fortunate that we were able to stick to our birth plan and have Hudson naturally,” Jon said. “The birth was extremely smooth. We left our house at 10 a.m. for the birthing center when contractions were four minutes apart and he was born just a few short hours later. We had a great birth team who helped us through everything.”
The Jones' baby boy follows the 2012 birth of EYB lead singer Mike Eli's daughter Kline Olivia Diaz on July 30.

COUNTRY GOSSIP
After an 'almighty row', on paradise island Taylor Swift and Harry Styles ended their romance during a luxurious break in the Caribbean. Are they EVER getting back together? Haylor split - www.dailymail.co.uk
Despite only having gone public with their romance in December, the pair apparently had a huge fight in the Caribbean island of Virgin Gouda, in the British Virgin Islands. Taylor, 23, was spotted looking glum as she took an early boat alone from the island on Friday (Jan 4), just three days after arriving there.
Taylor departs
NY Post image

It was a contrast from the time they had spent together in previous weeks, jet setting everywhere from New York to the Lake District and constantly pictured hand in hand.
After Taylor's departure, the One Direction singer, 18, left for Richard Branson's private Necker Island, where he partied and shared a hot tub with a group of beauties, according to Business Insider.(Picture)
Taylor said recently: 'I'm the kind of girl who won't ever yell at you, but then I'll break up with you because I've been thinking about things and realised that I'm not happy or feeling mistreated”.
Taylor, 23, is said to have kept bugging Styles about his on-going friendship with ex-girlfriend Caroline Flack. A source said, "Harry and Taylor had an incredibly intense relationship, and really did care strongly about one another. Sadly it fizzled out just as quickly, and came to a head following a series of angry spats on holiday. Harry felt Taylor was nagging him, quizzing him on his intentions with various women and generally having very little faith in him."

Was this all a horrible misunderstand? Did Harry overhear Taylor singing along to her hero Shania Twain :
And whose lips have you been kissin'? And whose ear did you make a wish in?
Is she the one that you've been missin', baby? Well whose bed have your boots been under? I wanna know whose bed, baby.
And did Harry trying to show his new love toward the country sweetheart instead of singing Hunter Hayes “Wanted” instead opted for Randy Houser’s “How Country Feels” singing:
Let your hair down, hair down, Get you some of this laid on back, Kick your shoes off, kick 'em off, Get you some of this slow down fast, I'll take you up and down ….Let me show you how country feels!
The outcome for Styles was he saw Taylor heading off in one direction and as Zac Brown would say:
“Saw Goodbye In Her Eyes”! Harry was no “X Factor Winner” for Tay-Tay and it became “Impossible”!

What better way to relax after a nasty breakup? Head for Richard Branson's tropical island and jump into the hot tub, of course! That's exactly what Harry the One Direction hunk star did, as Taylor sloped off back to the U.S.
The One Direction star was comforted by bikini-clad Bravo TV host Hermione Way on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.
And sources claimed he couldn’t keep his eyes off Hermione’s curves on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.
There was a lot of flirting in the tub and Hermione (Picture) was loving the attention as they necked champagne and gobbled sushi.”
One said: “Harry was fuming as the row with Taylor got really bitter and a lot of things were said that they both didn’t mean.
A source close to the couple told The Sun last night: “Taylor knows she’s far more high-profile in America and way richer, and saw her career as more important. She always brushed off his schedule and needs and put hers first.
When he complained his One Direction bandmates were getting irritated and she should do more to make things work, they started to yell crazy things. Taylor even yelled he was lucky to be with her. “There were also problems over commitment. Harry wasn’t committed enough for her liking
Not missing Taylor? One Twitter picture (Image) even showed a shirtless Harry with his arms wrapped round two young women!

One person who might be happy about the split is Taylor's father, who had been worried the two were moving too quickly.
Scott Kingsley Swift even ordered Harry to slow down his relationship with his daughter after reports the pair were talking about marriage. Scott reportedly told floppy haired Harry to 'cool' his romance with country princess Taylor after reports Harry told the singer that he loved her during their break in Manhattan.Taylor Swift looked glum en route to the airport on January 4
She suggested that all might not be well in her relationship with Styles when she posted the lyric "'Til you put me down", a line from her song “I Knew You Were Trouble”, on Twitter on Sunday (Jan 6)

On Tuesday January 8, a defiant Taylor Swift emerged for the first time since her much publicized split from Harry Styles, with a broad smile on her face.
The country star was seen for the first time in Los Angeles on Tuesday after leaving the British Virgin Islands solo just days ago.

The 23-year-old music star had a seemingly cheery disposition as she visited a friend's house in Pacific Palisades, CA to no doubt receive some much-needed consolation following the split with Harry Styles. Taylor was dressed-to-the-nines in a long-sleeved navy mini dress and knee high stockings with her hair pulled back into a pony. Taylor smiled as photographers got their pap snaps.

Now with the high profile recent splits from both Connor Kennedy and Harry Styles coming within three months of each other, fans online are speculating as to how much of the album will be dedicated to them, as well as who’s next in her hit parade. Future songs: “You’re Not My Style”? , “You Weren’t My World Cup Willy (Styles?) “
Described as the “brightest star in country pop”, will she now take things quiet relationship wise rather than crowd surf dive into another high profile liaison? Instead she may focus her attention on her World RED Tour. Her touring buddy and song collaborator , Suffolk born Ed Sheeran back in August said in interview "As a person, Taylor's such a sweetheart" Then When Taylor was asked by Marie Claire.co.uk in October 2012 what her Favourite British thing was? Her answer was Ed Sheeran!
Shortly after on the Jonathan Ross Show Ed admitted he wanted a girlfriend, but he is struggling to find one because he is too ''awkward'' and shy to ask a woman out. I wonder if love might blossom when Tay and Ed play “Lego” together The 'Lego House' singer as far as I know is looking for love!

Before Scotty McCreery returned to class at the North Carolina State University on Wednesday (Jan 2nd), he thought it would be a good time to have oral Surgery to remove his “pesky” Wisdom Teeth. Hunter Hayes is working on getting his pilot's license! The CMA's reigning New Artist of the Year revealed that in what little free time he has, he's working on mastering the friendly skies."I've got tons of hours on a flight simulator," Hunter reports (quote via WENN news). "Anytime I can go fly for a few hours, I go. It's stressful and stress-relieving at the same time. You've got five or six things you've got to pay attention to. But I'm a geek -- flying is so tailored to me."

Kenny Chesney may be one to keep his personal life under wraps, but that doesn’t stop country fans — and the media — from speculating about the superstar’s love life. The ‘El Cerrito Place’ singer was spotted in Hawaii over the holiday with a beautiful brunette, prompting rumors that the relationship is becoming increasingly serious.

Carrie Underwood has moved on up in the world and out of her former humble Nashville abode. However, she and Mike Fisher have since made a love nest of their very own. In 2011, Carrie dropped $3.2 Million on 400 acres of land that now boasts their dream home. (Music City USA News)

LeAnn Rimes has allegedly made a Paparazzi Photo Deal. LeAnn constantly snapped looking lean and showing-off in her bikini bod while lounging and frolicking on the beach. Turns out, there’s more than just a little luck involved. According to Radar Online, LeAnn is a bit of an attention seeker. Apparently, LeAnn tips off photographers of her whereabouts ahead of time. Then, the paps simply sell the most flattering pics of the singer to media outlets. This, of course, is all according to “a source”

Men’s Health released their list of The Hottest Women of 2013, and apparently they like their women home-grown and country-fried because some of our crooning cuties made the list of 100 beauties. The only criteria to make the cut was that each woman be “smokin’ hot”…brains and success are just bonus points.
  • Jana Kramer came in at #59. Men just keep askin’ themselves Why you gotta/ Why you wanna/ Make me keep wanting you…
  • At #28 was Julianne Hough, (pic), Ryan Seacrest’s main squeeze, a two-time Dancing with the Stars champ, country music singer, and star of Footloose and Rock of Ages is Mormon, and therefore bound to wear sacred garments beneath her regular wardrobe.
  • Carrie Underwood (pic) scored big time rolling in at No. 24. The magazine lists off her Blown Away criteria, but let’s face it; we all know it’s all about the legs.
  • Making the top 12 is Taylor Swift (pic) Swift’s trick is channeling those frustrations into her music, where she’s quickly become one of the industry’s most reliable hit makers. The next time you need inspiration, Taylor, we’ve got roughly 10 million guys willing to be your muse. Her model-esque physique is enough to make guys forget they may become lyrical inspiration for the long legged beauty. But her love-fueled lyrics paint a not-so-pretty picture of the male species—she’s damn good at outlining exactly how you annoy her.
  • So, who made the top of the list?? Katy Perry and Mila Kunis took first and second. Just goes to show ya that men don’t really have a “type.” Hot or Hot Mess…it’s all the same. Kate Middleton was #73

R.I.P
American pop singer Patti Page died on New Year's Day in Encinitas, Southern California. She was 85.
She was popular in pop music and country and became the first singer to have television programmes on all three major networks, including The Patti Page Show on ABC.
Nicknamed "The Singing' Rage," Page sold more than 100 million albums in her 67-year career, which included 1950s chart toppers "(How Much Is That) Doggie in the Window," (>> Audio) "I Went to Your Wedding" and "All My Love (Bolero)."
She died on Tuesday Jan 1, 2013 in a nursing home in Encinitas, north of San Diego, after suffering congestive heart failure, her manager, Michael Glynn, told Reuters.

"She'd been having some health issues for the past couple of years," Glynn said. "She was actually doing better yesterday. I spoke to her and she sounded well."
Page won a Grammy on Feb 24, 1999 for Best Traditional Pop Vocal performance during the 41st Annual Grammy Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles for her 1998 album "Live at Carnegie Hall: The 50th Anniversary Concert". Patti was to receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award next month and will be honoured posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Grammy on February 8. She had expected to attend the ceremony, Glynn said. Despite her timeless success, she only had one Grammy to her name (perhaps because she did much of her best work prior to the awards’ creation in 1959).
Her biggest hit was "The Tennessee Waltz", which was also released in 1950.
>> YouTube
  • "The Tennessee Waltz" was a #2 Country hit and #1 for thirteen weeks in 1950 on US Billboard Best Sellers in Stores #1 single (30 December 1950 - 24 February 1951). Page's version of the song became a multimillion seller, which was written by Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart in 1946, spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Most-Played in Juke Boxes chart in 1950 and 1951. The waltz was on the charts for 30 weeks, 12 of them in the top 10, and eventually sold more than 10 million copies, behind only "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby at the time. It was first released in December 1947 as a single by Cowboy Copas that same year.
  • The tune became a hit for Page on the Hot Country Songs chart, where it spent three weeks at No. 2. Page's cover proved to be so popular, it was made an official song of the state of Tennessee in 1965 and inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998.
  • Page charted a total of 20 entries on the Hot Country Songs chart as well as 19 hits on the Adult Contemporary chart
  • Patti’s first country charting single was a cover of “Money, Marbles, and Chalk", written by Garner "Pop" Eckler in 1949. It entered the Billboard chart on April 23, 1949, at #27, lasting only that one week. The song also spent a week on the Billboard country music chart, at position #15.
  • Open, I'm Dreaming," peaked at No. 11 on the charts in 1950.
  • Unlike most pop music singers, Page blended the styles of country music into many of her most popular songs. By doing this, many of Page's singles also made the Billboard Country Chart. Towards the 1970s, Page shifted her career towards country music, and she began charting on the country charts, up until 1982.
  • Page is one of the few vocalists who have made the country charts in five separate decades.
  • She received the Pioneer Award from the Academy of Country Music in 1980. She also is a member of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.
  • Page also had something of a revival in 2000 when she released Brand New Tennessee Waltz , on January 16, 2001  a recording of many of her biggest songs with assists from country stars like Emmylou Harris and Trisha Yearwood and produced by Jon Vezner - ”If you want to look up the definition of classy in the dictionary, they should put her picture there because she's as classy as they get." CMA Close Up JPEG (Jon Vezner /songwriter & Recording artist, producer, husband to Kathy Mattea)
  • Page was born 8 November 1927 in Oklahoma as Clara Ann Fowler in 1927 and was known for her light, every-girl voice. Her first big hit was "With My Eyes Wide
  • She was married three times, most recently in 1990.
  • Page is survived by her two children (son, Daniel O'Curran, daughter Kathleen Ginn) and sister Peggy Layton, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

More than 300 family members, friends and fans paid their respects Wednesday (Jan 9, 2013) to Patti. The service at the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church attracted a standing-room only crowd that listened to songs and watched a video tribute to her life and career. Page’s manager told 10News it was one of the singer's lasts requests to have very little fanfare at her funeral.

As a founding member of the Seldom Scene, the Washington, D.C.-based “newgrass” band that fused bluegrass with elements of contemporary pop and jazz, Mr. Auldridge developed a refined, lyrical approach to playing the dobro.
Michael Dennis Auldridge was born in Washington on Dec. 30, 1938. His maternal uncle, Ellsworth Cozzens, played dobro on some of Jimmie Rodgers’s early recordings.

Mr. Auldridge studied guitar and banjo as a boy and picked up the dobro at 17. He appeared in clubs in the Washington area in the 1960s and joined the band Emerson and Waldron two years after graduating from the University of Maryland in 1967. In 1971 he and several other musicians formed the Seldom Scene, whose weekly performances at the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, Va., enhanced the capital area’s reputation as a haven for progressive bluegrass music.

His past bands include Emerson and Waldron, Cliff Waldron and the New Shades of Grass, Seldom Scene (of which he was a founding member), Chesapeake, The Good Deale Bluegrass Band, and John Starling and Carolina Star.
Mike was also a member of the touring bands of Lyle Lovett and Emmylou Harris.
